You don’t need flight or train tickets. There are no hassles of booking and waiting lists. All you need is a car.

Road trips make us slow down; appreciate the little things that are spontaneous and resourceful. We spend more time travelling by different mode of transport rather than the destinations. But while on road trip we appreciate the place and notice small things. We see people in their everyday lives as we cover a great deal of ground in a single day.

Many unexpected things take place on the road like the unplanned moments, surprising connections, feeling like we have been in this place before, taking a wrong turn and so on. We are forced to look around and notice the scenery. You can observe everything around you from local vendors, strange fruits to untouched fields. Sunset and sunrise are your best friends; you can have a good view by moving out of your car.

One thing is that about road trip is that we don’t have to go far away for a long time. An overnight trip is quiet sufficient to take us out to a familiar surroundings. As our surrounding changes we feel more relaxed and little more physical space to breathe. Here are some road trips that make it worth taking.

It gives an opportunity to make decision about immediate needs, keep things simple and freedom to change plans or directions on a whim. If you like a particular view then you can stay back as long as you want .Basically you are in charge of your trip.

While travelling there is no restriction your clothing. Just wear anything casual even a torn Jean which is a trend nowadays. Even a pair of flip flop or monkey slippers will do. You realise that dhaba food is better that the precooked or packed food you might get in flights and trains.

Road trips are the best time to bond with family and friends; it keeps you away from your daily busy schedules and gives you a chance to create new memories. It also adds romance in your life. If you are travelling with your friends and all pooling in, then it becomes very reasonable.

So pick up your small backpack, find a few good friends to travel with you. Fill up the tank with gas and go.
